Photography
Photography has been a core part of my creative practice since studying Graphic Design & Photography, and it continues to influence my work as a designer.

I describe myself as an enthusiastic amateur with a long‑standing passion for the craft. Black‑and‑white photography remains a favourite, particularly for its striking tonal contrast, though shooting for editorial projects—such as food photography for magazine features—has grown my appreciation for colour and controlled compositions.

In my role at Cats Protection, I have spent the past five years working closely with a professional photographer and art‑directing charity photoshoots. Every image captured must not only align with brand guidelines but also adhere to strict cat welfare requirements, ensuring the animals’ wellbeing remains central to the creative process.

I have also produced commercial photography for external clients. This includes a bespoke photoshoot for a high‑quality printer in Kent, forming a key part of a major rebrand I was designing. The imagery became integral to their refreshed visual identity, showcasing their core values—passion, expertise, innovation and technology. Additionally, I created a series of bespoke images for a large dairy farm client, expanding their branded asset library and reducing their reliance on stock photography.

As a designer, I understand the power of combining strong imagery with thoughtful layout and typography. My passion for photography enhances my design work across both print and digital, ensuring every piece is visually engaging, purposeful and brand‑led.
